Tube Innovation Days: trade fair a tremendous success

Concept and working with our partners pays off

The RSA showroom in Kunshan near Shanghai was the venue for Chinese customers and interested parties to congregate on 15 and 16 April 2015 for the first time to find out more about the entire process chain of tube manufacturing and processing at one event. A total of nine partners from the field of tube manufacturing and pro-cessing attended the event in China: Dreistern, TRUMPF, Sema, FOERSTER, WAFIOS, RSA, Scheffer, Fehr and Kluthe all helped to make the Tube Innovation Days a tremendous success. Almost 200 visitors from Asia expressed their interest in the offer in Kunshan on these two days. This high level of interest was the clear confirma-tion that individual consultations, along with industry-specific talks and the possibility of visiting a production plant, are just the right concept for this highly specialized market. A total of 80 participants seized this opportunity to visit the TRUMPF production facilities in Taicang. 

Henning Mutschler of TRUMPF, Thomas Berg of RSA and all the par-ticipants were extremely satisfied with the results. "The concept of staging a trade fair together with companies from the field of tube manufacturing and processing and tailoring it to a local market was a huge success. There are already many interesting projects in the pipeline. That is why the Tube Innova-tion Days will take place in China again next year." 

Due to the excellent response, the event will also be extended to other important markets. The 2nd Tube Innovation Days will take place in Novem-ber of this year in Chicago, USA. The USA has always been an important market for the steel tube industry, which has now made an excellent recovery after some difficulties in recent years. Industry experts are expecting a high level of demand in the coming years.
