E-Mobility Days Focus on Technology of the Future
E-Mobility live: WAFIOS and Gehring Technologies stage the "2nd Reutlingen E-Mobility Days" in Reutlingen with a special focus on an "Efficient Power Train". "The first RED - Reutlingen E-Mobility Days - will not be the last ones", concluded WAFIOS CEO Dr.-Ing. Uwe-Peter Weigmann after the first successful event in October 2020. Weigmann continues: "Many new developments have been successfully implemented since the last event. These we want to present now." The two-week event is a mixture of online presentation and conventional exhibition in the plants of the manufacturer of wire processing machines. Its first edition attracted numerous customers at home and abroad.
This, too, is the plan for the second RED on October 18 through 29, 2021 when the doors of the company will be open to inform interested customers about an "Efficient Power Train" (in the first week, the focus of the event will be on on-site presentations, in the week from October 25 - 29, the focus will be on online presentations.) The most important novelty of the "2nd Reutlingen E-Mobility Days" is that WAFIOS will no longer be the only host. Gehring Technologies, the company with which WAFIOS formed an "Alliance for E-Mobility" last April, will co-host the event. "We hope for an intensive exchange between experts and company representatives", explain Marcell Wardin from Gehring and Martin Bauer from WAFIOS who are responsible for organizing the two-week event.
Both companies, as well as some partner companies, will be exhibiting groundbreaking technologies for the E-mobility industry all around the "Efficient Power Train" theme. In close cooperation, Gehring and WAFIOS will therefore show for the first time the entire manufacturing process of a stator for an electric motor. Co-exhibitors complete the exhibition program with innovative solutions for the production of copper wire up to the measurement of the finished hairpins. The machinery for the production and quality control of the individual components can also be seen. The staff at the event will be happy to provide detailed information on this machinery.
Co-exhibitors are: Copaltec, Feinwerktechnik Otto Harrandt, WITELS-ALBERT, HPW Metallwerk, TRUMPF Laser- und Systemtechnik and Hexagon. Scientific partners are: The wbk Institute of Production Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the PEM of the RWTH Aachen University. With its "Electric Drive Production" group, the latter focuses on the implementation of an economical production of the electric power train of electric vehicles.
The "2nd Reutlingen E-Mobility Days - RED" will take place on October 18 through 29, 2021 at the WAFIOS plant in the Silberburgstraße 5 in Reutlingen, Germany. The event starts on Monday, October 18 at 4.30 p.m. Opening hours: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. Closed on the weekend.
